And that is a problem! Because there isn't enough work for all of the “actors” to even be able to work part-time! Acting will never be a full-time job. NEVER!
Get it through your head; in the best case, you make money from using your creativity and diversifying your abilities, but you will not be acting full-time. No one, not even the busiest Hollywood actors, always works!
Most of the time is spent marketing, discussing the product, taking pictures, and having meetings. The trick is to take that creative energy, desire, and hunger to create a role, to act… and channel it into other creative pursuits; don’t limit yourself.
To act, you must diversify. Don’t be so narrow-minded. I know what’s happening is that you need to be necessary. I get it; I feel the same need, but in our quest for success in a field where a particular achievement does not mandate success, we’re all better off by opening up our possibilities! Or you will eventually walk away from it all and silently despair.
